THEORETICAL STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF VISCOSITY ON THE RESISTANCE TIME OF A CHARGED DROP

A nonlinear integral equation describing the time-dependent change of viscosity during spherical deformation of an unstable droplet with specific charge was obtained and its solution was determined. Since the considered phenomenon is nonlinear, it was shown that the characteristic time of instability is determined by the time of ten times increase of the amplitude of the virtual spherical deformation of the unstable droplet from the initial negligible value.
